Liongate Bahamas Limited is thrilled to host its 3rd Annual Hack-A-Thon on November 1st, 2025 between 8AM – 5PM ET. Registration is closed for this year 2025.
The event is targeted towards Bahamian high school students in both public and private schools. Our goal is to highlight talented students who express an interest in the Fintech industry, software development and technology generally by helping to guide and encourage them along their journey.
Students start fresh in the morning building any solution within the theme utilizing an open variety of web and software development approaches of their choosing, and may also include hardware components in their solutions. Students are required to bring a laptop, and may optionally form teams of two among the students participating. The objective is to allow a student to begin anew upon arrival and to produce a functional demo or schematic of a solution by the end of the event and to present on the relevance and importance of the solution, while demonstrating how it works. An internet connection, shared hosting environment and access to a code editor will be provided.
At the end of the event, students will present their projects and be judged by a guest panel of judges who will determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
